Cancellation Policy – Bites and Feasts

This cancellation policy outlines the terms and conditions regarding cancellations for personal chef services provided by [Your Name/Business]. By booking services, the Client agrees to these terms.

Notice Requirements

-All cancellations must be communicated in writing via email. Verbal notice is acceptable but must be confirmed in writing.

-Notice should be provided as soon as possible to allow for rescheduling or preparation adjustments.

Cancellation by the Client

More than 5 days prior: No cancellation fee. Full refund of any payments made.

1 to 5 days prior: A 50% cancellation fee will apply. The remaining 50% of any payments will be refunded.

Within 24 hours of the scheduled service: A 70% cancellation fee will apply. If ingredients have already been purchased, the Chef may retain their cost or deliver them to the Client, with reimbursement for the actual cost of ingredients where applicable.

Unforeseen Circumstances: In the event of cancellations due to emergencies, illness, or other unforeseen circumstances, the Chef may, at their discretion, waive or reduce the cancellation fee.

Cancellation by the Chef

The Chef reserves the right to cancel a scheduled service due to illness, emergency, unavoidable travel delays, or other unforeseen circumstances.

In the event of Chef-initiated cancellation, the Chef will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the service at a mutually convenient time.

If rescheduling is not possible, all payments made by the Client for the canceled service will be fully refunded promptly.

Additional Terms

Deposits, if required, are subject to the same cancellation terms outlined above.

Refunds will be processed via the original method of payment unless otherwise agreed upon.

The Chef is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses resulting from cancellation.

Confidentiality

The Chef agrees to keep all client information confidential and will not disclose any details about the Client, their family, or their affairs without explicit consent.

Insurance

The Chef shall maintain liability insurance for the duration of this Agreement and provide proof of insurance upon request.

Disclaimer

 The chef is not liable for any adverse health effects or nutritional deficiencies that may arise from specific dietary preferences or restrictions, such as keto, paleo, Raw, carnivore, or any other specialized diet. Clients are encouraged to consult with a licensed healthcare provider or dietitian to ensure that their chosen diet meets their nutritional needs. The chef will make reasonable efforts to accommodate dietary requests to please the clients’ wishes but assumes no responsibility for the health outcomes associated with these choices.

Governing law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of ONTARIO.
